We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the production function, taking ownership of the end-to-end delivery of accounting and bookkeeping work. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to develop and improve team capability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to review work, team mentoring, and production or client service environments.
- Strong technical accounting and taxation capability, with the ability to deliver work to a near-final review standard.
- Experience preparing Individual Income Tax Returns (including investment income), Income Tax Variations, Tax Planning, and FBT returns.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian tax legislation, including Division 7A, deductions, payroll tax, WorkCover, Stamp Duty, FBT, depreciation rules, SGC obligations, franking credits, trust elections, and TPAR requirements.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing Activity Statements, including GST, PAYGW, PAYGI, WET, FTC, FBT instalments, and GST on imports.
- Strong payroll expertise covering terminations, redundancies, salary packaging (including novated leases), allowances, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and leave entitlements.
- Understanding of Portable Long Service Leave obligations.
- Experience working with Xero as the primary accounting platform and other accounting software systems.
