THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Controllor, in this position you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and building strong relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare weekly payment runs, ensuring payments are booked the same day they are made
Performing the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgers
Review and verify invoices and payment requests
Provide supporting documentation for audits
Other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable
Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of three years' experience
Track record of success in AP transformation and automation
Experienced in processing and payment of invoices in multiple currencies and from multiple bank accounts
Proven experience within a high-volume accounts payable environment
Confident communication as this role will involve liaising with various manager of the business
A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (Understanding V-Lookup, Pivot and Functions an advantage)
Strong communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills
Strong work ethic; Resourceful, hands-on, and able to sense urgency
Ability to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under tight deadlines as related to month end and year end close
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Understanding of processes and controls within Financial Operations/Accounting
Bachelor's degree mandatory
3+ years of full cycle A/P experience
Experience in a retail or other inventory centered organization preferred
Experience with RLM accounting software preferred
Experience with international payment/taxes preferred
This position is a full time position at a rate of $65,000.00 USD/Year. Open to hybrid and remote applicants.
