Join Hulu's dynamic Insights team as a Brand Insights Strategist, where you'll play a crucial role in driving research initiatives that influence Hulu's Brand, its Customers, Campaigns, and the broader streaming landscape. In this position, you will design and execute research projects, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable strategies that will shape decision-making for Hulu and the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. This role is office-based in our Santa Monica office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Brand Strategy & Measurement
• Manage essential processes that support Hulu's Brand Health Tracking.
• Contribute to brand marketing research projects, including various Bundle packages and ad hoc campaign strategies.
Collaborate Across Teams
• Work closely with Hulu's Marketing, Strategic Planning & Operations, and Content Partnerships teams, along with partners across TWDC to establish research goals and strategies.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, and external research partners.
• Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that insights inform strategic and operational decisions.
Insights & Analysis
• Design, execute, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Synthesize data from various sources (e.g., Nielsen, MRI, SNL Kagan, and internal sources) into clear, compelling narratives.
• Identify trends in consumer behavior, campaign performance, and market dynamics to influence business and marketing priorities.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate insights and actionable recommendations effectively.
Stay Ahead of Industry Trends
• Keep abreast of developments in streaming, advertising, consumer research, and media.
• Bring innovative perspectives and best practices to continuously enhance Hulu's insights capabilities.
WHAT TO BRING
Research/Insights Expertise
• 4+ years of research experience, ideally at a market research firm specializing in Entertainment, or within an entertainment/media brand, or a Direct-to-Consumer brand.
• BA/BS in social sciences or a related field, demonstrating a strong analytical foundation or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to manage tracking studies, preferably in Brand and/or Advertising.
• Strong knowledge of survey methodologies and campaign attribution.
• Experience with analytical tools and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SQL, R, Python).
Analytical Thinking
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage complex projects within a highly matrixed organization.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of delivering results under tight deadlines.
• Solutions-oriented mindset, eager to navigate complex tactical or strategic challenges.

• Outstanding storytelling and presentation skills, effectively distilling complex insights into actionable narratives.

• Genuine passion for research, television, streaming, marketing, advertising, and the latest media technologies.
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) streaming service or a research firm specializing in DTC streaming services.
• Familiarity with digital analytics, media mix modeling, attribution, and modeling methodologies using various data sources.
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, California is $93,200.00 - $128,000.00 per year. The final base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be part of the compensation package, alongside a full spectrum of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position.
