About the Role
As a Business Intelligence & Data Analyst Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Affirm's operations by leveraging your analytical expertise, technical skills, and business acumen to drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Risk, to build scalable and robust data infrastructure, automate processes, and empower the operations organization to access and drive business insights. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Own the roadmap to deliver scalable and robust data infrastructure and BI capabilities across all of operations
- Use technology to automate processes and tasks, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual errors
- Empower the operations organization to access and drive business insights through data-driven decision-making
- Maintain and build out a robust knowledge base and source of truth for all data and metrics
- Apply creative approaches and prototype predictive modeling and segmentation solutions to drive business growth
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across operations, ensuring alignment with Affirm's overall technical strategy
- Maintain a solid understanding of Affirm's evolving data warehouse and provide technical guidance to stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an analytically-focused role, such as analytics, consulting, or finance
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with Python or R
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead multi-functionally and influence external parties
- Ability to think creatively and critically, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
- Passion for finding insights in data and driving change based on those insights
- Ability to communicate and influence both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the fintech or financial services industry
- Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques
