CB Direct LLC is hiring: Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote) in Webster

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Role Overview CB Direct is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep payments accurate and accounts current. This role is responsible for applying payments, reconciling invoices, and following up on past-due balances. This is a remote role but some office visits are required for training, so proximity to our office is important. This role will start in the office for training, then shift to mostly remote (90%+) once you’re up to speed. Responsibilities • Apply customer payments in QuickBooks • Reconcile payments to invoices • Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies • Follow up on past-due customer accounts • Communicate with small business customers and enterprise accounts payable contacts • Keep AR records clean, current, and accurate • Flag issues that need escalation • Help clean up existing AR backlog and keep things running smoothly • Assist with contractor payout data entry and review What This Role is • Ownership of accounts receivable • Problem solving and follow-through • Professional, respectful communication • A role where your work makes a real impact • Flexible Full Time Hours What This Role is Not • Aggressive collections • Commission-based • Pure data entry with no ownership What We Are Looking For • Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or payment processing • Experience working through invoice discrepancies, partial payments, or mismatched balances • Experience with QuickBooks • Comfortable working across systems, including QuickBooks and Salesforce • Strong attention to detail • Comfortable following up by email and phone • Able to work independently and stay organized WORK STRUCTURE • Initial training in-office • Ongoing role is primarily remote • Full-time, stable position About CB Direct CB Direct is a national fleet hardware installation company that coordinates support for enterprise customers across the U.S. We move fast, value accountability, and appreciate people who take ownership of their work.
