The Consultant, Strategic Initiatives supports the delivery of enterprise and client-focused initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and drive measurable business outcomes across Gallagher Bassett.
This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is developing foundational skills in project management, process improvement, and stakeholder communication. The Consultant works under the guidance of senior team members to execute initiatives, analyze data, and support implementation efforts across Claims Operations, Client Services, and other functional areas.

How you'll make an impact
Initiative Execution & Project Support
Assist in the execution of strategic initiatives across the organization
Support project planning activities, including timelines, task tracking, and documentation
Prepare status updates, meeting materials, and action item tracking for project teams
Participate in working sessions and contribute to initiative deliverables
Process Improvement & Operational Support
Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency
Support the development of process documentation, SOPs, and job aids
Assist in testing and validating new processes or system enhancements
Help monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement
Data Analysis & Reporting
Gather, validate, and analyze data to support initiative objectives
Assist in creating reports, dashboards, and presentations that highlight key trends and insights
Support tracking of initiative performance metrics (e.g., productivity, cycle time, quality outcomes)
Ensure data accuracy and alignment across stakeholders
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Claims, IT, GCoE, and Client Services
Document meeting notes, decisions, and follow-up actions
Support communication plans related to initiative rollout and adoption
Build professional relationships and develop confidence engaging with cross-functional partners
Continuous Improvement & Learning
Contribute ideas to enhance existing processes and team workflows
Participate in team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement efforts
Build foundational knowledge of claims operations, systems, and GB services
Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn through feedback and coaching
About You
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
Experience working with operational data, reporting tools, or dashboards
Familiarity with claims operations, insurance, or risk management concepts
Experience documenting processes or supporting SOP development
Strong organizational and time management skills
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
