What we’re looking for…
- Entry Writer with 3-5 years of entry writing experience and familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations.
- Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
- Cargowise is a plus.
About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Prepares customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs in a timely manner.
- Ensures that all entries are properly classified by using tools such as company profiles, CROSS (Customs Rulings Online Search System), Internet and communicating with the Importer of record.
- Creates invoices for duty and entry charges to be sent to the Billing Department.
- Develops and maintains customer profiles based on the customer’s shipment history.
- Coordinates with customers to classify new commodities per according to HTS.
- Answers any Brokerage related inquiries internally and externally.
Work ScheduleNew York Office 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (Rotational overtime on Sundays)
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of entry writing experience.
Salary$55,000-$65,000 annually based on education and experience level.
