Job Summary
The Director of Business Development - Foodservice & On-Premise is a key role in our North America Operating Unit, responsible for leading the development and execution of business development strategies for our Foodservice & On-Premise customers. You will serve as a consultant and coach to account teams, providing strategic guidance on customer acquisitions, renewals, and growth opportunities. Your goal will be to identify new sources of revenue and profit, while establishing Coca-Cola as a customer's most valued business partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and counsel account teams to align potential customers with customized bundles of goods and services, leveraging Collaborating for Value and Collaborative Business Planning to understand customer needs and gaps.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to secure new outlets, protect existing business, and establish Coca-Cola as a customer's most valued business partner.
- Work with account teams, brand teams, channel teams, creative agencies, and other subject matter experts to create meeting and pitch themes, custom graphics, presentations, and compelling storylines that convey our competitive advantages.
- Defend against competitive threats using innovative storytelling and value creation, including marketing assets, promotional partners, brand, and pillar programs, cutting-edge technology, and other tools to differentiate Coca-Cola from competitors.
- Influence complex negotiating situations, including franchisees and internal stakeholders, to drive business growth and profitability.
- Ensure all communication and concepts are grounded in customer needs, consumer and channel insights, and aligned with Coca-Cola's business objectives.
- Actively seek and communicate competitive intelligence in partnership with the Strategy team to inform business development strategies.
- Lead strategy and engagement approach for Private Equity Groups, Beverage Consultants, and Multi-Unit Operators.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, economics).
- 5+ years of experience in a consumer-packaged goods company, preferably in both customer management and marketing roles.
- Foodservice expertise, with a deep understanding of the industry and its trends.
- Creative, storytelling, and advanced strategic thinking ability, with experience in developing and executing business development strategies.
- Customer management experience, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Influencing ability, with experience in negotiating complex deals and influencing internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the beverage industry, preferably with Coca-Cola or a similar company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in presenting to senior-level executives and customers.

Compensation and Benefits
