Job Summary
As the Director, Decentralized Clinical Trials RWE Clinical Trials, you will be responsible for the successful development and execution of clinical trials, ensuring they are conducted on time, within budget, in compliance, and of high quality. You will supervise cross-functional project teams during all phases of study development, operationalization, and delivery. Your expertise in decentralized clinical trials will help us build and deliver adaptable, efficient, and compliant hybrid and decentralized trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of clinical trials, ensuring they meet the required standards of quality, compliance, and timeliness.
- Supervise cross-functional project teams during all phases of study development, operationalization, and delivery.
- Collaborate with the Head of Decentralized Clinical Trials in strategic planning, resourcing, and operation of decentralized and hybrid trials.
- Oversee the selection and management of decentralized trial vendors, including the development of business requirements and management of UAT processes.
- Manage cross-functional colleagues in the development of study documents and plans, including protocol, ICF, SAP, DMP, and Security plan development.
- Recruit, train, manage, and coach DCT team members; collaborate with Product and Innovation leaders to ensure critical elements for clients are launched on time and meet client needs.
- Provide oversight to the conduct of remote clinical trial visits, site initiations, and study closeouts with client representatives.
- Participate in business development efforts, including proposal and budget development and bid defense processes.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate SOPs, plans, and procedures related to DCTs.
- Provide input to technical teams on expanding capabilities to support client needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in supporting or CRO roles, developing and driving DCT projects, including budget and timeline development.
- Knowledge of and experience managing DCT vendors.
- Deep understanding of the drug development process, including decentralized and hybrid trials.
- Excellent working knowledge of ICH GCP, US CFR, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to apply new systems to regular tasks and adapt to technology changes over time.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead internal and external teams.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions to operationalize and move clinical trial projects forward.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, or cross-functional team leadership experience.

- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Certification in clinical research or a related field.
