Goal: Own the launch of a medical supplies e-commerce site (Phase 1: cash only, no insurance yet). You coordinate everything so the founder doesn’t have to.
About the Role
You will be responsible for translating the founder’s vision into a concrete plan, managing the backlog, and driving an external dev team/designers to deliver a live BigCommerce store integrated with InventorySource.
Responsibilities
• Define and maintain the Phase 1 roadmap and milestones (MVP scope, launch criteria).
• Translate business goals into clear requirements and tickets for developers/designers.
• Coordinate work between:
• BigCommerce / backend developer(s)
• UX/UI designer
• QA
• Customer support VA (for launch readiness)
• Own weekly status updates and risk tracking for the founder.
• Prioritize features based on impact to conversion and profitability (pricing, catalog, search, checkout).
• Define and document core workflows:
• Catalog sync (InventorySource → store)
• Order flow (customer → supplier)
• Customer account flows.
• Define analytics events and funnel tracking needs.
• Help select and configure 3rd-party tools (search app, reviews app, email, helpdesk).
• Create basic SOPs for order handling, refunds, and customer support.
Key Skills & Experience
• 5+ years as E-commerce Product Manager / Project Manager (bonus: dropship or medical supplies).
• Hands-on experience launching at least 1–2 stores on BigCommerce / Shopify / WooCommerce (BigCommerce preferred).
• Strong understanding of:
• Catalogs, variants, pricing rules, promotions.
• Conversion funnels and checkout UX.
• Dropshipping workflows.
• Comfortable writing simple specs / user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication: can talk high-level with founder and low-level with devs.
• Experience working with remote contractors and agencies.
• Data-driven mindset: knows basic GA/analytics and KPIs (AOV, conversion rate, etc.).
