Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in various subjects, including Kinder, Early Years, Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High, SpEd, and Special Ed
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and activities to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and school community, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school administrators to ensure seamless transitions and support
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, educational technologies, and best practices in teaching and learning
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual support
Essential Qualifications
To be successful as a substitute teacher with Scoot Education, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A background in education, teaching, or a related field
- A passion for learning and a commitment to student success
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- A growth mindset, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs
- A valid 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or CA Teaching Credential
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- Experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school setting
- Knowledge of curriculum developments, educational technologies, and best practices in teaching and learning
- Experience working with students who require special accommodations or support
