Position Overview
The Arborist position is a field service role that requires a deep understanding of tree production, care, pruning, and moving. As an Arborist with Walt Disney World, you will be responsible for providing horticulture support to our Global team, ensuring that all guest-facing areas of our property meet the stringent Walt Disney World standards. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert tree care services including pruning, planting, and moving trees to maintain the aesthetic and safety standards of Walt Disney World.

- Collaborate with the horticulture team to plan and implement landscaping projects that enhance the guest experience.
- Conduct regular inspections of trees and landscaping to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of tree care activities, including pruning, fertilization, and pest management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, attending workshops and training sessions as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures, including ANSI Z133 and ANSI 300 guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in horticulture or agriculture, with a focus on tree care and landscaping.
- The ability to meet the requirements for climbing aerial rescue guidelines, ensuring safety while working at heights.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards, including ANSI Z133 and procedures outlined in ANSI 300.
- Knowledge of southern tree species, including their care, pruning, and potential issues.
- The physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs, as well as work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- A valid CDL Class A with an air brakes endorsement, necessary for operating certain equipment.
- Availability for 3rd shift roles, as our operations require around-the-clock attention.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced certifications in arboriculture or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
