About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Experience Specialist to join our team onsite at our Bristol, TN location. As a Customer Experience Specialist, you will be the eyes and ears for our team, fielding customer inquiries and finding innovative ways to respond. You will work in a collaborative and engaging environment, interacting with people from all walks of life, and no two days will be the same. Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer support to customers via telephone and/or Internet, e.g., instant message, email.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve simple and basic support issues, such as address changes, processing orders, warranty or billing/payment.
- Provide customer support by phone, email or instant message to business customers, serving as the primary contact for inbound customer issues.
- Process a high volume of customer inquiries regarding offered products and services and resolve a targeted percentage of those inquiries.
- Troubleshoot customer problems, identify the root cause of the problem, and use tools and resources appropriately to determine how to resolve customer problems.
- Escalate more technical product-related issues to the proper Product Support department and follow up on escalated issues with coaching and mentoring to learn appropriate solutions and expand overall knowledge.
- Track and document inbound support requests, ensuring proper notation of customer problems or issues.
- Update customer information and ensure accurate entry of contact information.
- Meet standards of the job, such as quality standards, adherence to schedule, and average handle time.
- Provide guidance and/or mentoring to less experienced associates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Proven call center experience
- Typing speed of 25 WPM
- Proficiency in PC operation and navigation
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay composed and objective
- Strong listening skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role
- Knowledge of customer service software and technology
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
