Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Property & Casualty member experience by handling inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, or other contacts from members, ensuring timely and effective resolution of their queries and concerns.
- Assist members with foundational to moderately complex quotes, binding new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract and coverage provisions, and premium changes for insurance products and services, providing clear and concise explanations and guidance.
- Identify, evaluate, and understand member needs to provide complete and accurate advice and solutions for insurance products and services, taking into account their unique circumstances and requirements.
- Provide detailed issue diagnosis while minimizing member transfers, escalations, and call backs, ensuring that members receive seamless and efficient support.
- Efficiently operate in a contact center environment and navigate multiple systems and programs while maintaining engaging member interactions across multiple channels, leveraging technology to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain required Property & Casualty license and state registrations, staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures, contributing to a culture of risk awareness and mitigation.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, demonstrating a foundation in academic achievement and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally by phone and email, with a strong focus on empathy, active listening, and problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applications, managing competing demands and deadlines with ease and agility.
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
- Acquire Property & Casualty licenses and state registrations within 90 days of hire, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of customer contact experience in a needs-based sales environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
- 6 months experience frequently communicating with customers by phone, e-mail, and/or face to face, with a strong ability to build rapport and trust with diverse customer groups.
- US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner, bringing a deep understanding of the military community and their unique needs and challenges.
