You'll work closely with our dispatch team to coordinate equipment services, engage in active listening with customers, and provide product and service information. Your positive attitude, empathy, and professionalism will be the hallmark of your interactions, ensuring our customers feel valued and supported. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, responding to requests from multiple sources (phone, fax, e-Commerce, in-person) * Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times * Receive and process requests for equipment services, coordinating with dispatch for prompt delivery * Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry customers, as needed * Provide customers with product and service information, including Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources * Verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services * Follow policy and work instructions to ensure the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance * Meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service * Make sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable * Perform other duties as assigned by management **Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a professional, proactive, and positive individual with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You'll also require: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred * Excellent customer service orientation * Attention to detail * Good data entry skills * Proficiency with computers, with strong typing skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment **Physical Demands** As a remote customer service representative, you'll spend most of your time sitting, talking, and hearing. You'll need to be able to: * Sit for extended periods, with frequent typing * Occasionally stand and walk * Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
