About the Role
In this remote customer service role, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing personalized support to ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will be working as part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team, which is responsible for everyday features related to payment processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data access and balancing functions
- Coordinate return objects with contributors, doors vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work on member cases/sports assigned
- Follow and maintain guidelines and approaches to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process loan bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Complete daily balancing and department closing
- Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information
- Communicate with the vendor to process fund transfers
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws
- Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum and preferred qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
- Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines

- Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-hire compliance tests
