Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our Hardware Operations team at arenaflex. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining our advanced Data Center Server and Network Infrastructure, participating in or leading local project teams on large installations, and developing project contingency plans. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to and lead efforts/tasks in the deployment, maintenance, and support of modern and new data center infrastructure
- Participate in or lead complex troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues
- Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related problems on servers
- Deploy and maintain arenaflex's advanced Data Center Server and Network Infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and resolve technical issues
- Develop and implement project contingency plans to ensure seamless operation of our data centers
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware/community problems and the use of Linux tools
- Experience working in a data center or network operation center environment
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with mild coding or scripting, such as Python, Perl, or Bash
