Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Elementary Level English Language Arts (ELA) Tutor to join our team. As an ELA Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with elementary school students, helping them develop their language arts skills, including reading fluency, decoding, comprehension, and writing. Your role will be to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions, either in-person or online, to students who require extra support or enrichment in ELA. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, providing feedback, and monitoring progress to ensure that each student meets their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions to elementary school students in ELA, including reading, writing, and homework preparation
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style
- Conduct sessions in a professional and engaging manner, using a variety of teaching methods and materials
- Prepare and submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student and manage your schedule to ensure timely completion of sessions
- Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a prompt and professional manner
- Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure continuity of services
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for experience in tutoring or teaching specialized education fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching ELA at the elementary level
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees in education or a related field are highly desirable but not required
- Experience with basic database management and data entry
- Ability to prepare engaging lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles
- Strong administrative skills, including typing, PC, and recording skills
- Reliable transportation with current car insurance (if applicable)
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
