About the Role
The Actuarial Improvement Program is a full-time, entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your career in actuarial science. As an actuarial data analyst, you will work closely with experienced actuaries to develop your skills and knowledge in risk evaluation, rate recording, reserve examination, and planning and gauging. You will also have the opportunity to work on various projects, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Evaluation: Understand the concept of specific risks and provide results of analysis to management.
- Rate Recording: Order and analyze recording data, prepare and submit essential reports for administrative filings.
- Reserve Examination: Analyze guarantee data and screen hold levels for suitability, and demonstrate an understanding of actuarial holding methods and issues.
- Planning and Gauging: Provide specialized help and analysis for planning, estimating, and reporting processes.
- Valuing, Pattern, and Advantage Configuration: Create and suggest estimating and pattern for items or benefits.
- Technical Capability: Develop innovative technical solutions for various issues, exhibit capability with calculation sheets, and knowledge of data sets and online applications.
- Movement: CVS Health follows a hybrid work model, giving office-based partners the ability to flex between working in the office and telecommuting based on the work needed to be done.
- Work visa sponsorship is available for this job, including cooperation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Preferred Capabilities
- Entry-level position or work experience supporting actuarial elements of an association or group region.
- Exhibited leadership experience. Models include dynamic jobs in student or social association activities, or sports.
- Solid written communication skills
- Have insight with scientific or coding programming. Models include SAS, Python, Excel, VBA, SQL, or R
- Have the ability to work in a high-speed climate and comply with tight time constraints
- Have solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Support cooperation and a positive climate to further develop group viability
- Be agile and can rapidly and effectively adjust to change
