Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Entry Level Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Owasso area. As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and live independently. This is a flexible, hybrid role that allows you to balance your time between our remote office and home, providing the perfect opportunity for those who value work-life balance and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Teach skills and provide supports to enable individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities
• Assist individuals with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
• Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities and events
• Advocate for individuals, communicating their needs, self-expression, and goals to ensure they receive the support and services they need
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress and support provided

Essential Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds to provide services
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Clear criminal history record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare, social services, or a related field
• Certification in Medical Assistance, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
