Job Summary

As a Flight Operations Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of our flight operations. You will be responsible for analyzing aircraft performance, developing and maintaining SCAP modules, and collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution of flight operations. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain departure and landing performance data, including obstacle data, OEI procedures, and MEL performance penalties.
• Develop and maintain SCAP (Normalized Computer Airplane Performance) modules and interfaces.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to maintain organizational W&B and performance systems.
• Provide oversight of organizational Flight Operations manuals and procedures.
• Support weight and balance tasks, as well as Flight Operations.
• Develop and maintain RNAV Visual systems.
• Monitor and update route databases and flight procedures.
• Liaise with flight crews to identify areas for improvement in organizational procedures.
• Analyze aircraft performance using computer-based tools for all phases of flight.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Safety examinations.
• Assist in the implementation of eco-friendliness measures and representation of Flight Operations in the Fuel Controlling Panel.
• Model Allegiant's customer care standards in private activities and while providing guidance.
• Perform various duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in aircraft operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and knowledge of C#, Visual C, Visual Basic, and FORTRAN.
• Understanding of 14 CFR Parts 25 and 121 Airplane Performance Restrictions and Requirements.
• Knowledge of A320/B737 family aircraft weight and balance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience in managing third-party vendors.
• Understanding of aircraft flight envelopes and abbreviations per FAA AC 120-27.

Preferred Qualifications

• A pilot's license.
