Blithequark is seeking highly skilled Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists to join our Analytics group. As a Data Scientist at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by discovering insights and turning them into actionable recommendations. You will work closely with various teams to solve complex challenges and make data-driven decisions that impact revenue, growth, and operations.
About the Team
The Analytics group at Blithequark is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support business decisions across various teams and stages. Our team is comprised of talented professionals who are passionate about using data to drive business outcomes. We are looking for individuals who are excited about working with large datasets, building analytics experiments, and mentoring junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use quantitative analysis and data presentation to understand what drives our business and identify areas for improvement
- Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Python, R, or other scripting and statistical tools
- Work with and mentor junior analysts on advanced techniques and problem-solving
- Produce recommendations and use statistical methods and hypothesis testing to validate findings
- Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends
- Identify and measure levers to drive key metrics and make recommendations
- Work backward from business problems to ideate solutions
- Report against goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress
- Collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and display logging
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role
- Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc.
- Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, such as Matlab, R, SAS, or Python
- Proficiency in one or more analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Chartio, Looker, Tableau)
- Ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large datasets and building complex analytics models
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills
