About the Role: East Baton Rouge School System In-Person Tutor
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic In-Person Tutors to join our team in the East Baton Rouge School System. As a tutor with HeyTutor, you will have the opportunity to work with elementary students (K-5th grade) before and after regular school hours, providing them with the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the tutoring area to ensure a productive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Pick up and drop off students from designated areas, as communicated by the School Coordinator.
- Conduct small group tutoring sessions alongside other tutors, focusing on providing personalized support to each student.
- Take attendance and facilitate online learning sessions where applicable, ensuring that all students are engaged and on track.
- Document student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard, providing valuable insights into each student's learning journey.
- Monitor students' understanding and interactions with the lesson, ensuring that every student has a comprehensive grasp of the material.
- Engage and interact with the lessons alongside the students, creating a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Perform additional duties as required by the District or Student needs, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to providing exceptional support.
Schedule and Commitment
This is a full-time position, with tutors needed Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day (8:30 am - 3:30 pm). We are looking for individuals who can commit to this schedule and are available to work during the entire 2023/2024 academic year. Requirements and Qualifications:
