We are seeking an experienced international freight forwarding professional to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our ocean product development team, you will be responsible for executing strategies that support the growth of our ocean volumes and enhance the development of our ocean product. You will work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean, as well as our global trade lane team, sales, and operations to communicate direction and deliverables. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting carrier development, pricing, analyzing carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and resolving carrier service issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, analyzing ocean rates, and routing. Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus. You will also need to be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
