Job Summary
The Order Control Clerk will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary materials are available to support business needs, collaborating closely with Disney Vacation Sales and Operations partners. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver office supplies and current marketing materials to Discovery Desks and Welcome Home Centers across the Walt Disney World property, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory counts of all sales and marketing materials at all Discovery Desks and Welcome Home Centers, utilizing inventory management best practices and standards shared by Sales and Operations Leadership.
- Create inventory orders via StoreFront for weekly delivery to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
- Manage inventory and needs for the Disney Vacation Club Cruise Line Sales team aboard all ships in the fleet, including planning, forecasting, ordering, receiving, storing, and inventorying, to ensure seamless sales operations.
- Build and place orders in StoreFront by required deadlines, ensuring par stock levels are maintained for each marketing collateral item and office supply, and determining appropriate order quantities based on historical usage, future events, and Sales team needs.
- Coordinate with Disney Cruise Line Sales teams for inventory counts and order shipments in a timely manner, working with R.R. Donnelley to ensure efficient deliveries to all ships and resolving any logistical issues that may arise.
- Deliver sales and marketing supplies to Disney Cruise Line ships in Port Canaveral, Miami, or Fort Lauderdale as needed, ensuring that all materials are handled and transported safely and efficiently.
- Manage outgoing mail collection and incoming mail distribution to the appropriate team members, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring timely delivery of sensitive documents.
- Perform safety and cleanliness checks at all Discovery Desks and Welcome Home Centers, opening tickets or notifying partners as necessary, and ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Unload pallets and store items in the correct locations, maintaining a safe and organized working environment, and completing bi-weekly vehicle checklist for safety and maintenance to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition.
- Assist the Senior Order Control Clerk with deliveries or project tasks as needed, providing support and coverage to ensure that all responsibilities are fulfilled, and supporting any special requests from the Sales Support and Services Managers.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong ability to follow directions and take initiative with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all materials are handled and stored correctly.
- Must have a valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record, and be able to withstand physical activity in an outdoor environment, lifting up to 50 pounds and moving boxes as needed.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, demonstrating a commitment to meeting the needs of the business and supporting the sales team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience working with provision schedules, inventory management, or warehouse operations, demonstrating a strong understanding of logistical processes and procedures.
- Experience in managing, forecasting, and ordering inventory to meet deadlines, utilizing inventory management software and systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver on time, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-directed with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software programs, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of Walt Disney World Company and its property, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the sales team.
- High School Degree or Equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics, logistics, and business operations.
