Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the sales team to design Magna5 solutions that meet client needs, acting as the technical subject matter expert on customer calls and solutions presentations.
- Determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as a liaison between the sales/business development and engineering teams throughout the pre-sales process until a deal is closed.
- Scope technical solutions to meet customer requirements, assess customer needs, and recommend Magna5 solutions to optimize value.
- Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support, and technical engineering teams to align the solution design with client requirements.
- Provide coaching to team members and sales associates to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
- Monitor technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process to identify potential risks of deal closure.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Some network experience is preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 5 years of IT engineering or sales engineer experience, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing complex IT solutions, systems, or services.
- A strong understanding of IT infrastructure technology best practice standards and the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively.
- A history of working in a team-oriented setting, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Professional level engineering certifications equivalent to VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or Cisco CCNP are highly valued.
- The ability to present, demo, design, and review proposed Magna5 solutions with clients, as well as act as a liaison between multiple product teams to design and sell Magna5 solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud hosting, backup and disaster recovery, and other advanced IT services.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in the IT industry, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A strong track record of success in a sales engineering or IT solutions role, with a proven ability to drive sales growth and expand existing customer relationships.
