About the Role: Lead Cybersecurity Specialist - Encryption at Rest and Secrets Management
We are seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team, focusing on Encryption at Rest and Secrets Management. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, engineering, and maintaining the critical encryption at rest environment, working closely with various AT&T application teams to onboard and utilize existing infrastructure, supporting application teams using encryption tools, maintaining current software releases, and assisting application teams with any problems encountered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and maintain the critical encryption at rest environment, ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive data.
- Collaborate with AT&T application teams to onboard and utilize existing infrastructure, providing support and guidance on encryption tools and best practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events, and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers.
- Analyze complex security issues and develop engineering activities to help mitigate risk, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in encryption algorithms and cryptographic techniques.
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of the next generation of data at rest encryption solutions, ensuring our infrastructure remains cutting-edge and secure.
- Work on efforts to migrate applications from premise-based encryption at rest usage to Cloud-Based encryption at rest, utilizing our existing solutions and expertise.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of strong security background in CyberSecurity, with an emphasis on Encryption and CyberSecurity fundamentals.
- Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows System Admin functions, as well as scripting languages such as Python, Java, and shell scripting.
- Ability to clearly communicate and provide documentation for identified system issues to both vendor and internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Experience with Public Cloud environments, including migration and deployment of applications and infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cybersecurity, with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Achievement of certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Security Specialist.
- Experience with data at rest encryption products, such as Thales, and knowledge of KeyFactor EJBCA, KeyFactor CMD, Voltage SecureData, Thales data at rest encryption products (DSM’s, CipherTrust Manager), HashiCorp Vault Secrets Management, HSM’s, and Microsoft Purview.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
