We are currently seeking a skilled and caring Nurse Assistant to join our Progressive Care Unit team, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our mission to improve the health and well-being of our patients.
As a Nurse Assistant in our Progressive Care Unit, you will be responsible for performing a variety of direct and indirect patient care tasks under the delegation of licensed nursing personnel. Your primary focus will be on providing basic patient care, including bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, and hydration, as well as ambulation and positioning. You will also be expected to support patient safety and satisfaction by conducting regular patient rounds, effectively communicating with all team members, and demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a High School Diploma and have successfully completed an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125. Alternatively, you may have documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Room Technician, or Surgical Technician in the past three years, or have completed a LPN program outside the US and are awaiting the licensure examination, or are a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or equivalent course, or were a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three years, or are certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo.
You must also possess a current BLS Certification to be eligible for this role.
While not required, previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred, as is previous computer experience. As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. You will also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
