Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in classrooms, labs, clinical, and online settings, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience for students.
- Lesson Planning and Preparation: Organize and prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Student Assessment and Feedback: Objectively assess student performance, providing regular and constructive feedback to promote academic success and professional growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, enforcing campus policies and promoting a culture of respect and professionalism.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, referring them to Program Directors or Academic Deans as needed, and facilitating tutoring and makeup work to ensure student success.
- Record Keeping and Administration: Accurately maintain student records, grades, and attendance, ensuring compliance with published policies and regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices in instructional methodology, participating in ongoing faculty development activities and professional growth opportunities.
- Campus Engagement: Participate in student and campus activities, contributing to a positive campus culture and fostering a sense of community among students and staff.
Essential Qualifications
- Current RN or LVN License: Hold a current and active RN or LVN license in the state of California.
- Academic Credentials: Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, valid teaching credentials, or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California.
- Clinical Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as an RN or LVN within the last 5 years.
- Regulatory Compliance: Meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications, obtaining approval from regulatory boards as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching Experience: Previous experience as a Nursing Instructor, preferably in a state-accredited or approved RN or LVN program.
