Job Summary
We are seeking two highly motivated and dedicated Paraeducators to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting our students in various classroom settings, providing individualized support, and collaborating with teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the instruction and support of students in K-2 and 6-8 grade classrooms, providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment, implementing educational plans and behavior management strategies.
- Provide support to students in various classroom settings, including K-2 Structured Classroom (Low Incidence) and 6th-8th Grade Float Position (General Education/Instructional).
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure student success.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social-emotional learning and character development.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- An Illinois Paraeducator Certificate.
- Experience working with students in K-2 or middle school settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting academic excellence and social-emotional growth.
