Job Overview
We are offering a unique opportunity for customer-focused individuals to work from the comfort of their own homes, providing support to our customers via phone, email, and text message. As a Remote Customer Support Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience. This is a part-time, seasonal position that will run from March/April/May through September/October, with the possibility of year-round work for outstanding candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of incoming customer contacts, including phone calls, emails, and text messages
- Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve customer satisfaction
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information using the appropriate methods and tools
- Meet personal contact handling quotas and consistently strive to exceed performance targets
- Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions, escalating issues when necessary
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies to ensure consistency and quality in customer interactions
- Go the extra mile to engage customers, build trust, and promote our brand
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal and/or written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different character types and communication styles
- Comfortable working with computers and familiar with using multiple software applications simultaneously
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum 5 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed
- Windows computer capable of running multiple Chrome tabs without slowdown (Chromebooks and Apple computers are not compatible)
- Headset compatible with your computer
- Quiet work environment free from distractions and interruptions
- Availability to work weekends, with busiest times being Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings, and Monday mornings (12 PM to 5 PM Eastern Saturday afternoons, 9 AM to 1 PM Eastern Sunday and Monday mornings)
- Must reside in one of the following states: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Michigan, Alabama, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Tennessee
- Satisfactory results on completion of Indeed's Basic Computer Skills assessment
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or call center environment
- Completion of the Customer Service assessment through Indeed
- Experience working with beach gear or in a related industry
- Knowledge of customer service software and technology

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

- Weekly pay, with a temporary pay rate of $11/hr and the opportunity for a raise after a 3-week assessment period
- Permanent pay rate of $12/hr to $15/hr for Phone and Full Support representatives, and $11/hr to $14/hr for Written Support representatives, depending on performance
