We are seeking a qualified and experienced Faculty of the Practice, Airline Management to join the College of Business (COB) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide (ERAU-W). This is a remote position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate airline management courses with a specific focus on our new M.S. in Airline Management degree. The typical teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year, which extends from August 1 to May 31. Faculty will teach with innovative academic technologies and delivery platforms almost entirely online.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree, professional doctorate, or Ph.D. (preferred) or equivalent terminal degree in management, business administration, aviation, finance, accounting, or a related field from a regionally accredited university. Strong industry experience in one or more areas of airline management (e.g., operations, fleet management, route planning, revenue management, sustainability, pricing, labor relations, etc.) and active industry connections are required.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in a remote setting. They will be a collegial professional passionate about teaching and the aviation industry, treating it both as a hobby and a profession.
