About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Instructional Assistant to join our team at Eagle Rock Elementary. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs under the guidance of a classroom teacher.
- Assist in developing and implementing personalized learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Support students with emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental disabilities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment, ensuring the health and well-being of all students.
- Assist with student personal hygiene and grooming needs, including toileting, eating, and changing diapers and clothes as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a special education setting.
- Knowledge of positive behavior supports and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families.
