Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Special Education Teacher to work with students in either Early Childhood or K-12 settings. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a classroom setting, attend IEPs, write evaluations, or collaborate with a process coordinator to bring programs into compliance at a cluster of schools within the district. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Attend IEP meetings, write evaluations, and participate in progress monitoring to ensure student progress
- Work closely with a process coordinator to bring programs into compliance and ensure district-wide consistency

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Early Childhood or K-12 Special Education certification in the state of Missouri
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Proven experience working with students with diverse needs, preferably in a public school setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
