As a Student Success Coach at blithequark, you will be the mentor who inspires and motivates students to reach their full potential. In this exciting role, you will work closely with students throughout their learning experience, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to help them overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a quality learning experience for all students.
- Manage a group of assigned students and coach each through their degree program, providing proactive and timely outreach to ensure their success.
- Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for academic success.
- Provide a trusted environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests, and offer guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Teach students how to use resources to maximize their success, and provide resume and career development support through certification as a resume reviewer.
- Act as a liaison for students, enabling them to connect with various departments and services within blithequark.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Student Success Coach at blithequark, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent).
- Two or more years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling.
- Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, and the ability to learn technical skills quickly.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner, and a strong customer support focus with attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
- Previous experience in a coaching or mentoring role, particularly in an educational setting.
- Certification in a related field, such as career coaching or resume writing.
