Job Overview

The Warehouse Associate will play a critical role in providing a positive experience for our end customers purchasing rugs and performing an array of functions to include receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping, organizing, and retrieving inventory in the warehouse. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Shipping & Receiving in unloading trucks and containers, ensuring that all items are properly inspected and documented.
• Prepare orders for processing, picking rugs and other materials from heights of up to 25ft, and sorting and stocking them on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.
• Create Inventory and Put-Away, conduct Inventory Control and Audit, and prepare parcels for shipment, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, using proper housekeeping techniques, and adhering to all safety protocols.
• Wear and correctly use the proper safety equipment, including steel-toed shoes and a safety harness, and operate heavy Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as Joeys and Forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that orders are filled accurately and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction, and cross-train in all warehouse departments as defined above.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, perform other tasks and/or duties as requested and assigned, and consistently meet productivity standards in all areas assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Ability to use a scanner and read labels in English, understand numbers, and see colors.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays and be flexible with schedule changes as demands arise.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs alone and 175lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, kneel, lift, pull, and push, and climb a step ladder up to 25ft high.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment and pay attention to details and numbers.
• Able to work rapidly at a constant pace in a fast-paced environment and in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions.
• Must practice good hygiene and adhere to all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, and quality control.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and experience with Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
