Ciklum is looking for Expert ML Ops Engineer a to join our team full-time in Poland.
We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.
About the role:
We are looking for a Expert ML Ops Engineer to help us build and standardize the ML platform behind our biotech process modeling products.
This is a platform and tooling role. It is not mainly a model research role. Your job is to make ML development easier, safer, and more reproducible for Process Model
Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers. You will work on the systems around ML: workflows, artifacts, experiment tracking, dataflow, reproducibility, governance, and delivery. In our domain, model quality is not only accuracy, loss, or inference speed. A change can look fine in generic ML metrics and still be wrong if it changes scientific outputs such as amino acids, salts, metabolites, biological constraints, or process variables. For example, a pipeline change may be unacceptable if it affects outputs such as L-Arginine, NaH, or other process-specific variables, even when standard ML metrics look fine.
Responsibilities:
ML workflow orchestration using Flyte or similar systems
Experiment tracking using MLflow or equivalent tools
Artifact management for datasets, models, reports, validation outputs, and scientific results
Dataflow and artifact flow across the ML lifecycle
Versioning, lineage, traceability, and reproducibility of ML workflows
Automation of repetitive experimentation and delivery tasks
Reliability, observability, and debugging of ML workflow execution
Standards and best practices for scientific ML governance
Requirements:
Strong software engineering background
Practical experience with MLOps, ML platforms, workflow orchestration, experiment tracking, or artifact management
Strong Python skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar systems
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Good understanding of CI/CD, reproducibility, observability, and production-grade software practices
Ability to work with complex data workflows and distributed systems
B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
High autonomy: notices what is broken, fixes it, and turns repeated problems into reusable platform improvements
