This is a roll up your sleeves position - we do not need a high up manager. We want operators.

We’ve already secured a major partnership with Best Buy and have two additional lead partnerships incoming, setting the stage for national distribution for 2026.
Nest is pre-funding, preparing for a 2026 raise, and building out a high-caliber executive team to support rapid growth.

The Role
• We’re seeking a part-time (fractional) CMO to lead Nest’s early-stage marketing, brand, and growth strategy.
• You will directly influence investor narrative, partnership launches, brand positioning, and early funnel development — all while keeping flexibility and avoiding full-time commitment pre-funding.
Your work now will lay the foundation for our national rollout post-raise.
What You’ll Own
• Establish Nest’s brand narrative, messaging, and positioning
• Lead early GTM strategy tied to Best Buy + incoming partners
• Oversee early PR, brand awareness, and launch communications
• Define growth strategy (paid, organic, referral, lifecycle)
• Build initial funnels & analytics (CAC, activation, conversion)
• Support investor storytelling for fundraise
• Create a scalable marketing framework for post-funding execution
• Help scope the future full-time marketing team and hiring roadmap
• This is a strategic, high-leverage role — not heavy tactical execution.
Ideal Candidate
• 8+ years in marketing leadership (Director, VP, CMO, or Fractional CMO)
• Growing startups with limited resources
• Worked in a startup with less than 20 staff in the last 2-4 years
• Experience with early-stage startups or launching new brands
• Strong GTM, storytelling, lifecycle, and performance instincts
• Ability to move fast and make high-quality decisions with limited data
• Experience with consumer tech, SaaS, home services, or retail partnerships a plus
• Comfortable working part-time pre-fundraise with high equity upside
Compensation Equity Only Until Funding
0.25–0.5% equity
Optional performance kicker (+0.05–0.1% based on impact)
