Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Google Ads manager to take ownership of ongoing campaigns for Controversy, an upscale nightlife venue in Pittsburgh.
This is not a one-time setup. We need someone who actively manages, optimizes, and improves performance month over month — with a clear focus on real conversions (event attendance, high-intent traffic, VIP leads), not vanity metrics.
Current monthly ad spend: $3,000–$5,000
Engagement type: Ongoing / long-term if performance is strong
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Auditing existing Google Ads campaigns and restructuring where necessary
Keyword strategy, ad copy testing, and bid optimization
Local search + event-driven campaigns
Conversion tracking setup and validation (GA4, tags, call tracking, etc.)
Ongoing optimization with clear performance reporting
Proactively recommending improvements and scaling opportunities
What We’re Looking For
This role is a good fit if you:
Have proven Google Ads experience managing $3K–$10K+/month budgets
Have worked with local businesses, nightlife, hospitality, or events (preferred)
Focus on conversions and ROI, not just clicks
Communicate clearly and don’t disappear after setup
Are comfortable being accountable for results
Not a fit if you:
Only do initial setup with minimal ongoing optimization
Outsource work without transparency
Rely on generic templates or automated scripts without strategy
Budget & Structure
Open to:
Monthly retainer or
% of ad spend
(Please include your preferred structure in your proposal.)
To Apply
Please include the following in your proposal:
Brief examples of Google Ads accounts you’ve managed in the $3K–$10K/month range
How you typically approach the first 30 days on a new account
How you measure success for local or event-driven businesses
Your pricing structure
We’re looking to start soon and are open to a long-term working relationship with the right person.
