Role Description
The Clinical Service Liaison (GC) provides clinical customer service and/or interprets variants and writes reports, and abstracts clinical information from patient records. Acts as subject matter expert.
• Provides clinical customer service and/or interprets variants and writes reports.
• Acts as subject matter expert for a group of genes, disorders, and/or tests, independently or with support from other clinical team members.
• Abstracts clinical information from patient records.
• Supports projects related to Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• May prepare or provide clinical review of materials for website, marketing materials, or other projects.
• May assist with populating variant, gene, or disease-specific test information, report language, or other clinical information in internal databases.
• Performs other duties assigned in support of the team or department.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program.
• Prior clinical and/or laboratory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
• Certification by American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or equivalent.
• Genetic counseling licensure in the state where the employee works, if applicable.
Physical Demands
• Light lifting when traveling. Work requires close attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Environment
• Remote office based. Occasional travel may be required.
• Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-10pm ET or Sunday-Thursday 2-10pm ET.
