Position Overview: The Role of a Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in managing a wide array of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. We're looking for an initiative-taking individual who can effectively partner with management and employees to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for driving success across various HR initiatives and contributing to our mission of creating a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities: Driving HR Excellence

• Onboarding and Offboarding: Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, including conducting new hire orientation sessions, managing background checks, and E-Verify processes through Paylocity. Similarly, manage the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews to gather valuable insights.
• Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring that employees have access to relevant information and support. Educate employees on companywide benefits and rewards, and manage health insurance and 401k administration.
• Recruitment and Staffing: Lead talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
• Payroll/HR Change Report: Ensure timely and accurate updates to the Payroll/HR Change report, reflecting changes in employee data, benefits, and other relevant information.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment and resolving conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
• Performance Management: Monitor the performance management process, ensuring timely completion of performance reviews and providing support for employee development and growth.
• Policy Development: Collaborate in the creation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs to enhance skills and career growth. Conduct annual compliance training to ensure a culture of compliance and awareness.
• Additional Duties: Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.

Requirements: The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a preferred HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a strong focus on Generalist functions. Government contracting experience is a plus.
• 4+ years of full-life cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing and unique recruiting strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• The ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities, with great organizational skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite, with a preferred proficiency in Paylocity HRIS.
