Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, adapting your teaching approach as needed.
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians, providing regular updates and insights.
- Teach and tutor students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, staying up-to-date on the latest tools and technologies.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all students.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our center.
Essential Qualifications
- A passion for math and a desire to share that passion with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method and teaching practices.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in math concepts and principles.
- The ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a math instructor or tutor, particularly in a center-based or online setting.
- A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels, from K-12th grade.
- Familiarity with digital educational tools and platforms, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
