Description:
Role
Summary:
We
are seeking experienced Medical Writers who possess strong skills in tagging
and annotation to support critical functions such as reference management,
ontology mapping, and MLR/PRC workflows. The ideal candidate will play a
crucial role in ensuring high standards of scientific accuracy and regulatory
compliance across various projects.
Key
Responsibilities:
Perform
comprehensive reference tagging and annotation to facilitate accurate
referencing and traceability.
Conduct
ontology mapping using established medical terminologies including MeSH,
MedDRA, and SNOMED CT, ensuring scientific content is appropriately categorized
and linked.
Prepare
materials for MLR/PRC submission, ensuring all documentation meets submission
readiness standards.
Carry
out quality control checks and participate in peer reviews to uphold accuracy
and consistency in all scientific materials.
Synthesize
literature and contribute to scientific writing for a range of medical and
promotional documents.
Annotate
scientific and promotional materials such as labels (LBLs), slide decks,
brochures, emails, and interactive visual aids (IVAs) according to referencing
and regulatory submission guidelines.
Ensure
accuracy, consistency, and compliance with referencing styles, including AMA
and Vancouver, as well as client-specific MLR requirements.
Work
closely with other medical writers and reviewers to resolve queries and
maintain high standards of scientific accuracy.
Develop
and maintain trackers and databases for referencing to support both global and
local projects.
Conduct
thorough quality control checks on references and annotations prior to final
submission.
Collaborate
with cross-functional teams such as Project Management, Medical Review, and
Creative to ensure alignment on annotation and referencing processes.
Support
initiatives aimed at improving processes for efficiency and compliance in
referencing and annotation practices.
Qualifications:
A
degree in life sciences (PharmD, M. Pharm, MSc, or PhD) is required.
Experience
with Veeva Vault, medical writing, evidence-based content development, and
medical governance is essential.
Experience
Bands:
o Junior:
1 to 2 years of relevant experience
o Mid-level:
3 to 4 years of relevant experience
o Senior: 5+ years of relevant experience
Success Metrics:
Accuracy
of annotation across deliverables.
First-time-right
rate in MLR/PRC submissions.
Adherence
to service level agreements (SLAs).
Improvement
in reusability of tagged and annotated content.
