Position Overview
As an Online Instructor - Construction Management, you will be responsible for teaching online courses in the Construction Management program. This is a part-time position that offers a competitive salary of $2,295 per 3-hour credit course taught. The estimated hours per week will vary depending on the schedule, which includes day, night, and weekend classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in Construction Management, including course preparation, delivery, and assessment
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with course objectives
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and grades
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other activities that support the college's mission and goals
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in Construction Management, incorporating this knowledge into course materials and delivery
- Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to enhance student learning outcomes and program effectiveness
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field/discipline
- Or, a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a construction-related field/discipline
- Or, a Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field/discipline with 3 years of work-related experience in a construction-related field
- Or, an Associate's degree in a construction-related field/discipline with 7 years of work experience in a construction-related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous online teaching experience
- Certifications in online teaching
