Key Responsibilities: Providing Exceptional Service to Those in Need
- Respond to calls from the public on the Nevada 211 line, providing accurate and helpful information and referrals to health and human services resources and programs.
- Document calls in our online database, ensuring that client information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the services and resources available through Nevada 211, and effectively communicate this information to callers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve team goals.
Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse populations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in navigating online databases and software applications.
- Flexibility in scheduling, with availability to work a variable schedule including a full day on Sunday and three additional 4-hour shifts during the week.
- A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in people's lives.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional Assets
- Bilingual Spanish speaking skills, which can enhance your ability to serve a broader range of clients.
- Previous experience working in a non-profit or social services environment.
- Familiarity with health and human services resources and programs.
