Job Summary

We are seeking part-time professional tutors to work with students in our learning centers and online. As a tutor with GLC, you will provide one-on-one instruction, develop organizational and study skills, and teach verbal and math SAT skills. You will also cover a variety of academic subjects in middle school and high school, with a high level of competency in subject material. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one instruction to students in a variety of academic subjects, including math, science, reading comprehension, and executive functioning
• Develop organizational and study skills in students, helping them to achieve academic success
• Teach verbal and math SAT skills, preparing students for standardized tests
• Cover a range of academic subjects in middle school and high school, with a high level of competency in subject material
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students, providing guidance and support as needed
• Utilize our excellent online teaching platform to deliver high-quality instruction remotely

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a top college or university
• Strong academic performance, with a GPA of 3.0 or above
• Experience working with kids in a tutoring and test preparation setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an independent work ethic
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience
• Strong background in math and science fields, particularly in Statistics, Physics, and Calculus
• Teaching experience in Reading Comprehension and Executive Functioning
