Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nira Energy is a company dedicated to converting the US power grid to be 100% fossil-free. As an Account Executive, you will be pivotal in expanding the customer base of renewable energy developers by driving new business and managing the full sales cycle.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business from renewable energy developers to achieve a $2M annual quota
- Own the full sales cycle—prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close
- Research and target renewable energy developers using a strategic and data-driven approach
- Engage with Transmission, Interconnection, and Development teams to understand their pain points
- Educate prospects on how Nira can de-risk and accelerate their project development
- Partner with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Data) to relay customer insights and refine messaging
- Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate forecasts in the CRM
- Build trust along with a strong pipeline of deals through outbounds, industry events, and relationships
- Become a student of interconnection and transmission planning — able to speak credibly with technical buyers
- Partner closely with product and customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term adoption
- Work with the sales leadership team to refine our sales playbook
Skills
- 2–7 years of experience in SaaS or energy sales
- Energized by outbound prospecting and breaking into new accounts
- Strong understanding of transmission and grid interconnection
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can navigate technical conversations with confidence
- Self-motivated, organized, and thrive in fast-moving environments
- Care deeply about accelerating the energy transition and making a real impact
- Track record of beating quota, ideally closing $500k–$2M+ ARR per year

- Desire to work at a startup — resourceful, adaptable, and coachable
- Excellent written, verbal, and relationship-building skills
- Startup experience
- Background in renewable development or interconnection
- Proven ability to sell into a technical market without prior domain experience
