Optify Search is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead healthcare revenue accounting operations and support financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong healthcare revenue cycle experience and a solid understanding of GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Oversee healthcare revenue accounting, including gross revenue, contractual adjustments, denials, and bad debt reserves
- Lead month-end close processes and prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Analyze balance sheet accounts, financial variances, and key performance indicators
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and oversee monthly depreciation
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Assist with annual audits and special financial projects
- Supervise and mentor up to five accounting team members
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of healthcare revenue accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and revenue cycle accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA preferred
- Experience using AI-powered finance tools (e.g., Claude for Excel)
