Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Acumen Group is supporting a client seeking an Assistant Actuary to focus on asset-related modeling across various lines of business. The role involves building and maintaining models for reporting, corporate planning, investment analysis, and reinsurance pricing.
Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain asset models using AXIS, Excel, SQL, and related tools
• Support model governance, documentation, and review processes
• Provide analysis on asset types, reinvestment strategies, discount rates, and assumption setting
• Assist with IFRS and GAAP reporting needs, stress testing, cash flow analysis, and investment variance work
• Create periodic asset reports for valuation and investment teams
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, planning, and IT partners and mentor junior staff
Skills
• ASA with 5+ years of actuarial or investment modeling experience
• Strong AXIS skills required
• Experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, and database tools
• Background in life products or PRT
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
