They are seeking a Creative Director, Copy with pharmaceutical advertising experience to lead creative strategies for high-stakes product launches and manage a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the visionary creative lead and strategic partner for the agency’s high-science portfolio, setting the creative standard for healthcare professional (HCP) communications in oncology, rare disease, and neurology
• Lead the conceptualization of enterprise-level brand identities and "big idea" platforms that bridge the gap between complex clinical data and emotive, high-impact storytelling
• Drive the creative strategy and execution for high-stakes pharmaceutical product launches, ensuring the brand’s scientific narrative is flawlessly integrated across all global and domestic channels
• Partner with agency executive leadership to define the strategic direction for the HCP business, contributing to organic growth
• Oversee the evolution of the brand voice throughout its lifecycle, ensuring messaging remains competitively differentiated and clinically relevant amid changing market landscapes
• Foster a high-performing creative culture by managing and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team of ACDs, Copywriters, and Art Directors, ensuring excellence in craft and professional growth
• Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a consultant on creative strategy, regulatory navigation, and market positioning
• Oversee the creative integrity of multichannel ecosystems, ensuring consistent pull-through of the scientific platform across channels
• Lead the navigation of complex MLR challenges at a high level, establishing best practices for speed-to-market without compromising creative excellence
• Champion innovation within the agency, identifying emerging trends in high-science marketing to keep clients at the forefront of the oncology, neurology, and rare disease spaces
Skills
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising, with a proven track record in a senior creative leadership role at an agency
• Deep therapeutic expertise in oncology, rare disease, and neurology
• Extensive portfolio showcasing award-winning conceptual work and the successful leadership of multiple major pharmaceutical product launches required!
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a science-related field
• Demonstrated experience with HCP and high-science categories
• Expert mastery of the MLR landscape and a strategic approach to regulatory problem-solving across various markets
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage large teams and complex, multi-million dollar accounts
• Superior presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire both internal teams and C-suite client executives
• Deep understanding of multichannel integration and the technical requirements of modern HCP engagement platforms
• Proven ability to balance high-level creative vision with the operational demands of a fast-paced, science-driven agency environment
